Candy Making in Etowah TN

We chose a beautiful December day because everyone knows you can’t make peanut butter roll on a rainy, humidity laden day. So…

Since darling sister (DS) Wanda is the Queen of the Kitchen in Etowah, she was invited by Patsy Burger to come to her house and teach her to make the peanut butter roll for which she is famous. Actually my Mama made it and DS Wanda & Shirley were the ones to learn it. I kind of missed out on all that. Anyway one Monday morning DS Wanda, DS Shirley, DF Patsy Burger, DF Brenda Walden and me went to Patsy’s lovely house for lessons in candy making. So it was me and the Church Ladies. Do ya think anything odd about that statement? Me and the Church Ladies. Oh, yes, I’m sure that there will be those who really know me who will make a comment for the entire world to see.

We had great fun, hope you enjoy the pictures.

By the way, Patsy Burger is married to Darewin. If you remember a few posts back, Darewin was mentioned in this blog for the practical joke he played on me on the Biltmore trip. He was funny (call it paranoid) because he just knew that I had come to his house to get even. Not this time Darewin, that would be too easy, I want to get you when you least expect it. Maybe in Lancaster PA, ah, but alas, maybe sooner. I have my readers helping me come up with terrific ideas. Be afraid, Darewin, be very afraid.
